Use Orbitr with Claude and ChatGPT
Last updated 3 November 2026
Connect Orbitr to the AI assistant you already use. You can ask it about your clients, posts, content tracker and saved inspiration, and have it draft work. Anything it creates arrives in Orbitr as a suggestion, and nothing changes until someone on your team approves it.
What you need
- An Orbitr account, signed in with your own login.
- Claude: a plan that supports connectors. On Team and Enterprise, an owner may need to allow the connector first.
- ChatGPT: a plan that supports apps and connectors, with Developer mode switched on for custom connectors.
Connect Claude
- Open Orbitr in Claude's connector directory, or in Claude go to Settings, then Connectors, then Browse connectors, and search Orbitr.
- Click Connect. Sign in to Orbitr, choose the workspace and click Approve.
- In a chat, make sure Orbitr is switched on in the tools menu, then ask away.
You can also add it by hand: Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector, named Orbitr, with the address https://app.orbitr.com.au/api/mcp
Connect ChatGPT
- In ChatGPT, open Settings, then Apps and Connectors, then Advanced settings, and switch on Developer mode.
- Click Create, name it Orbitr, paste
https://app.orbitr.com.au/api/mcpand choose OAuth. - Sign in to Orbitr, choose the workspace and click Approve.
- In a chat, add Orbitr from the + menu.
What your assistant can read
- Workspace: Which workspace the connection can see and who connected it.
- List clients: Every active client, with their Instagram handle and usual posting time.
- Get a client's Brand brain: What the business does, its audience, voice, offers, content pillars, proof points, do's and don'ts.
- List posts: Posts in the Scheduler for one client or all, by date range and stage.
- List content tracker edits: Videos on the content tracker, by status (for example waiting on client review).
- List content inspo: Posts saved to Content Inspo, with search.
- Get an inspo post: One saved post in full, with its breakdown.
- List DM automations: The Inbox automations, like comment a keyword to get a link by DM.
- Monthly report summary: A client's month: posts, views, reach, likes, comments, shares and saves.
What it can suggest
Each of these becomes a suggestion in Orbitr. It can't publish, delete or change anything on its own.
- Draft a post: A draft post for a client's Scheduler.
- Change a post's caption: A new caption and hashtags for an existing post.
- Create or change a DM automation: An Inbox automation, which stays off until approved and switched on.
- Save a post to Content Inspo: A post link saved to a client's Content Inspo.
- Add a video to the content tracker: A planned video for a client.
- Add a task: A task on the To Do List of the person who connected.
- Change a client's Brand brain: Lines added to or removed from do's, don'ts, proof points or content pillars.
Try asking
- “What's scheduled for Kin Coffee Roasters next week?”
- “Which content tracker edits are waiting on client review?”
- “Find saved inspo posts about coffee and tell me what they have in common.”
- “Draft three Instagram captions for next week in the client's voice.”
- “Set up a DM automation: comment GUIDE to get our menu link.”
Approving suggestions
Suggestions appear in the bell, on Home and on the Assistant suggestions page in Orbitr, with a preview of what will change. Approve it, edit it first, or reject it. New DM automations arrive switched off.
Disconnecting
Open Connections in Orbitr and click Disconnect next to the assistant, or remove Orbitr in the assistant's own settings. Access stops straight away.
Privacy
The connection uses your own Orbitr login and only reaches the workspace you approve, within what your role allows. Orbitr only sees what your assistant asks it for, never the rest of your conversations. What the assistant reads from Orbitr is handled under your account with that assistant and its privacy settings. Read the full privacy policy.
